About Us
Shalam Packaging Limited is a leading plastic packaging manufacturer based in Basildon Essex. We are part of the Shalam Packaging Group with manufacturing sites in Israel, South Africa, Greece and the UK.
Shalam Packaging Group was established in 1976 and is privately owned. We work with International Blue Chip brands as well as small local manufacturers, offering all of our clients the same high product quality and customer service.
In 2009 the Basildon plant was established to allow Shalam Packaging to service its growing UK and European markets. In this new modern factory we introduced the latest injection moulding machines, state of the art IML systems, and developed new moulds to further expand the product range. Continuing our growth in the UK, Shalam Packaging obtained a new site in the North East specialising in thermoforming and blow moulding.
Now with two UK production sites we have over 55 production lines and warehousing for over 35,000 pallets.
Our Technology
Thermoforming
Shalam Thermoforming is built on sustainability and a circular economy, so recycling is at the center of our operation. rPET is one of the most recycled materials available, We re-use recycled PET flakes from drinks bottles and food trays (that go into household waste) back into our process to manufacture new food packaging.
Injection Molding
Shalam Packaging offers the capacity and mould variation to provide an extensive range of injection moulds that are required throughout a broad range of markets. With the capability to also offer IML decoration on most of the range.
Blow Moulding
Shalam packaging operates an advanced rPet blow moulding lines that integrates cutting edge recycling and manufacturing technologies to produce high quality sustainable bottles. These are suitable for a wide range of food and drink products.
